Important Glencoe Caucus Dates: 2026

February
Advisory Council meets with Village Nominating Committee and School Board Nominating Committee to review Roles and Responsibilities, process, procedures, policies and philosophy of the Caucus. Review Caucus Plan requirements for upcoming election process.

March / April
 Residents complete  Applications to run in the election to serve as volunteers on the Village Nominating Committee or the School Board Nominating Committee.  All applications for candidates to serve on the SBNC and VNC must be received by Monday April 20, 2026.  

May
All registered voters in Glencoe are invited to vote for candidates from their precincts to select each precincts members of the Village Nominating Committee and School Board Nominating Committee.  Online Caucus election polls will be open May 1 to May 17, 2026.

June
Election results for members of the Village Nominating Committee and School Board Nominating Committee will be determined and notified and the two Nominating committees will organize themselves. 

Both Nominating Committees will ask for volunteers who are interested in running as candidates for available positions on the Boards of the Village of Glencoe, Glencoe Park District, Glencoe Library, and the District 35 School Board, as well as serve as the Glencoe representatives of the New Trier School Board Caucus.

June & July
School Board Nominating Committee will meet to review applications and select the Glencoe Representatives to the New Trier School Board Caucus.

September to November
Village Nominating Committee and School Board Nominating Committee review applications from candidates for elected offices; review qualifications; schedule and conduct interviews; reference calls; select candidates to recommend for nomination for elected offices.  Applications for all Board positions are due on or before September 15, 2026.  

Village Nominating Committee and School Board Nominating Committee submit names of candidates recommended to be considered for nomination at the Biennial Town Meeting.  The Biennial Town Meeting will be held to receive recommendations of the Village and School Board Nominating Committees to enable the voters of Glencoe to confirm candidates for Village, Park, Library and School Board elected offices. Projected Biennial Town meeting date is Thursday November 5, 2026

Certificates of nomination for established party caucus candidates filed by the Glencoe Caucus for the April 1, 2027 Consolidated General Election: Dates TBD from Cook County.
